Native Talk Storytellers
Description: This engaging program presented by Luiseo storytellers integrates traditional Native American
stories, local native history, native language, and an artifact display. The storytellers use performance
art, music, and props to make their stories come alive while promoting cultural education and
awareness. These presentations supplement literacy units, Native American studies, multicultural
studies, and social studies at all grade levels. A variety of content standards are fulfilled across the
curriculum. Teacher information is available on website.
Requirements: One hour to set up and access to electrical outlet
Visual Arts Description:
The visual arts school assemblies are created with art forms such as ceramics, drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, design, crafts, photography, video, filmmaking, and architecture. Many artistic disciplines that will help your students get more engaged and understand all aspects of the visual arts as well as arts of other types.
