Kids for America: Play It Smart, Stay Safe From Drugs
Description
Description: This lively, colorful theatrical presentation is performed by kids, sending a powerful peer to peer
message teaching elementary school kids to say “NO” to drugs. It was awarded a Congressional
Commendation for its outstanding drug prevention message. Songs and dancing highlight the five
safety rules: 1. Get your highs naturally, not chemically. 2. Don’t give in to peer pressure. 3. All
you’ve got to say is NO. 4. Respect your body. Give your genes a chance to make you all you can
be. 5. Believe in yourself. You’re worth it. Black lights, strobe lights and other special effects
increase the memory and fun! The conclusion of the program includes the Safety Kids choosing
children from the audience to participate in role-playing situations.
Requirements: A darkened room is preferred but can be performed outdoors without the lighting effects.Â
